Who We Are

Solstice Films Inc., is a non-profit organization committed to helping people with life challenges by providing support via film and educational resources. "Making Connections" is the launch of our newest project in connection with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, a major Boston Medical Center and Aquarius Health Care Media.

Distribution

This film series will be aired on National Public Television and distributed through Aquarius Health Care Media to colleges, universities, medical and nursing schools, public libraries, MS clinics, rehab centers, hospitals and support groups. This series will be closed captioned, available in Spanish and seen both nationally and internationally.

Board of Advisors

Our 10-member Board of Advisors represents internationally renowned professionals in holistic medicine, neurology, documentary film production, teaching, broadcast journalism, psychology and spirituality.

About MS

Over a third of all the people in the United States diagnosed with MS have been living with it for over 20 years. MS is a disease that can insult, hurt and plays games with an individual every day.

Part of the challenge of surviving and staying as healthy as possible is to understand what is happening on a physical, psychological and spiritual level. The challenges may not decrease or fade but what one does with them helps to get through even the most difficult of times.

Personal Note

Having lived with MS for over 20+ years, I know all too well the challenges that we encounter on a daily and some times moment by moment basis. At times, isolation, fear, sadness and anger can weigh heavy on the person living with the disease as well as family members, caregivers and friends.

MS is a disease about loss and gain. What's important is to appreciate the gains no matter how small and to have the courage, determination and persistence to face the pain and the loss, no matter how hard.

It is my hope that this film series and research will provide new hope, understanding and discoveries with the challenges of living with MS.
